Introduction. The treatment outcome of adolescents and young adults with acute lymphoblastic leukemia is much poorer in contrast to pediatric patients. By changing the concept for patients who are leukemia, especially use regimens, significant improvement survival has been made (current 5-year rate goes up 70%). Contributing factors different outcomes between children leukemia. Beside differences adult protocols, there several which can explain these groups One main biology leukemias and, on other side, lower accrual rates clinical trials their specific psychosocial factors, like poor compliance missed appointments. Current novel approaches approach adolescent based protocols risk-adapted strategy, depends primarily cytogenetics postinduction minimal/measurable residual disease. goal treatment, targeted therapy innovative immunotherapies incorporated achieve a deep durable leukemia-free survival. To transplant or not still matter debate, particularly era regimens new sequence algorithm upfront drugs. Conclusion. Adolescent should be treated specialized centers by an experienced multidisciplinary team close attention particular needs.
